STYLE SET FREE and new concepts and racing cars highlight Hyundai Motor’s next steps in electrification at IAA 2019

OFFENBACH, September 10, 2019 – With the launch of the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) 2019, which runs from September 10 to 22, Hyundai Motor is giving an exclusive glimpse into the future of mobility. The brand presents 45, an all-electric concept that envisions its next EV design direction. Hyundai Motorsport is also launching its first electric racing car, the Veloster N ETCR. Meanwhile, the automaker is also celebrating the public world premiere of the all-new i10.

Once a simple means of transportation, the concept of the car is constantly evolving, blurring the lines between our lives and automobiles. Hyundai considers how future vehicles will give customers more freedom to design their cars in a way similar to how people design their homes and shape their automobiles the way they live.

The new concept accentuates the forward orientation of the design while exploring the evolution of Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language. “Sensuous” represents enhanced emotional values that customers can experience through design, and “Sportiness” is committed to implementing these values through innovative mobility solutions.

In addition to the new EV 45 concept, Hyundai will also hold a series of interactive displays to give customers the opportunity to experience STYLE SET FREE for themselves. These include STYLE SET FREE Studio, which allows visitors to interact with various materials to create a kaleidoscope effect, as well as H-Space, which provides a personalized in-car customer experience.

At the IAA, Hyundai is now unveiling the next step in its vision for future mobility by launching its all-electric concept car, which shows how Hyundai is rethinking mobility. The brand debuted STYLE SET FREE earlier this year at CES in Las Vegas and Milan Design Week.

“We are delighted to once again showcase a number of exciting product launches, along with our vision for future mobility at the IAA, our ‘home’ motor show in Europe,” said Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, vice president of marketing and product at Hyundai Motor. Europe. “With the launch of our EV 45 concept and the first-ever electrified racing car, Hyundai is once again demonstrating how far we are at the forefront of eco-mobility.”
