Latest electric car sales report; Nexon EV wins the race

Tata Motors Nexon EV maintained its lead in electric passenger car sales in July 2022, with 2,878 units sold compared to 680 units in the same period of 2021, representing a significant annual volume increase of 323.2% (sales combinations of Nexon EV and Tigor EV). The electric SUV range has recently been upgraded with the addition of the Nexon EV Max model, which has a larger battery and longer range.

Not only that, but a number of additional features have also been added to the standard model. The popularity of the Nexon EV has only increased over the past two years, and this trend is expected to continue in the near future. Next on the list is the MG ZS EV with 263 units sold. However, that’s 7 percent lower than the 284 units in the same period last year.

Interestingly, the Hyundai Kona saw a significant jump of 163.6% with 58 units sold, compared to just 22 during the same period in 2021. The next entry on the list is the BYD e6, which sold 44 units in July 2022. , and that’s great because the EV is the Chinese brand’s first offering in the Indian electric car market. The list continues with the Mahindra eVerito, as 26 units of the electric car were sold this year in July.
