Thousands of electric vehicle enthusiasts will be flocking to West Sussex over the next few days in the hope of spotting some of the most exciting electric cars. One of them is the new Lucid Air GTP, which debuted at Goodwood on Thursday.
The vehicle undertook the famous hill climb.
The Lucid is made in San Francisco and has been called the most powerful electric vehicle in North America.
Ben Collins, driver of the original Lucid and Top Gear Stig, showed off the car at the top of the famous hill.
He said: “It’s a Lucid Air GTP. It’s a new model.

The model is powered by two electric motors producing a total output of 1035 hp for a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2.6 seconds.
It is also equipped with a glass windshield, a 34-inch cockpit screen with 5k resolution, heated front seats, LED headlights and more than 30 driving assistance functions.
The car has 21-inch wheels with bespoke Pirelli tyres, but the Performance model gets an exclusive alloy design.
Five exterior colors are available: Stellar White, Cosmos Silver, Zenith Red, Infinite Black and Quantum Grey.
The model can charge at speeds of up to 350kW, which Lucid says can add up to 300 miles in 21 minutes.
The car will be launched in Europe later this year.
